Varandt Khodaverdian, PhD

Varandt is a senior scientist at Yarrow responsible for discovering biologics to treat autoimmune disorders.

Before joining Yarrow, Varandt was a Senior Scientist at Pfizer where he managed a team developing mRNA vaccines. He began his career as a Scientist at NuProbe USA creating ultrasensitive NGS assays to identify ctDNA.

As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Southern California, Varandt studied the molecular and cellular characteristics of DNA repair. The thesis of his PhD work in Biology from Tufts University focused on polymerases and DNA repair.

Varandt received his BS in Biochemistry with Honors from Case Western Reserve University.
